Update

Alot has been going on around here. Blake turned 16 on January 29th. I turned OMG 38 on February 3rd and Kirby and I celebrated 19 years on February 10th!!! Blake also had a big ROTC comp up in Farmington (3.5 hours away) and they brought home 5 trophies. He has been promoted to 1st Sgt and it looks like he will become the Cadet Command SgtMaj for his high school. Mikaela had a great meet the same weekend. I made it home from Farmington just in timeto see her to throw her 2nd vault (in the 1st rotation) and score a 9.125...and then i was able to watch the rest of her meet. She had a great meet. She did get hurt in beam warm-ups, but went on to finish the meet, floor was hard as she could not stretch her arms above her head. In the end we found out that she pulled the muscle between her ribs and actually ended up being out of gym for the next full week. She just started back this past week, and seems to be doing ok with it. Keegan was able to stay home with Nan that weekend and not be drug all over the place so he was thrilled. He just finished up his indoor soccer game season and the outdoor will start back up the end of March. Both boys are still racing but it seems like something always comes up on the race days and we haven't made it yet this year. Good thing that we have DVR as Nascar has started up and that makes racing on Sunday's for the boys rough!!!!

We are still loving Albuquerque and while the weather is like any other place and at times can not make up its mind what to do...it usually turns out beautiful....some days are windy and cold and those are just ucky!!!! But that is not to often.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

JUST WANTED TO TELL EVERYONE HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

So we had a nice Christmas. Last year we were seperated so this year was quite nice to be able to spend it together. Of course Blake can sleep in everyday of the year but on Christmas it is always an early morning. This year it was no different...it was only 0630 and I heard noises...I got up and found that Blake had woken the other 2 up...well I told them go back to bed until 0700 the only rule that I have for Christmas morning. So Mikaela climbed into her bed and Keegan climbed into bed with Blake and was back out quickly. About 0655 I snuck into Blake's room thru the boys conjoined bathroom and jumped on his bed!!!! Every Christmas they get their stockings and then come and jump on our beds to open them, while Kirby and I work on waking up....so this year I got to do it to Blake!!!! We spent the morning being lazy and then headed over to a friends house for dinner, we both did half the meal. It was a nice day. The kids big present was Rock Band and also a ski trip in February!!!!

The Beginning

Well last week we had an interesting week. It started snowing on Monday around 10:30 and didn't stop until late that night. Now for most people that is no big deal...but in ABQ it is...at least our side. School got canceled on Tuesday and the kids enjoyed playing outside in it. Of course Kirby and I had work...Mikaela actually had gym Monday night and Kirby had my truck so he picked me up at work and we drove in Auto 4WD all the way there...he stayed and on the way home it was plain 4WD the whole way...roads were turning into ice at that point. Looks like we will have a white Christmas here as they are predicting more snow this week as another front moves through. I am posting some pics of the snow. OH yeah...I am also putting up pics of Kirby's mistress, she had to sleep outside in the snow as The Grande Am is in the garage on jack stands.

Well it is starting to get cold here. We may actually have snow tonight and tomorrow. We shall see. It would be cool to have a snow day...I even get them with work. Keegan will turn 9 tomorrow that is so hard to believe. He is having a sleep over Friday night, Blake and Kirby will take the boys to Peter Piper Pizza for dinner and games. I luckily will be coaching. Keegan also gets to go to the Orthodontist tomorrow...on his birthday, lucky for him it is just for an evaluation on his overly crowded mouth, to see what needs to be done. Not much else going on around here.
